IRVINE, CA (May 10, 2019) – Montrose Environmental Group, Inc. (“Montrose”) is pleased to announce that on March 15, 2019, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Enthalpy Analytical, LLC (“Enthalpy”), it acquired the business of Golden Specialty, Inc., a leading air testing laboratory in Houston, Texas. The addition of this laboratory further advances Montrose’s air measurement and analytical capabilities. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Golden Specialty, Inc. (“Golden”) has serviced Texas and the surrounding gulf coast region for more than 20 years. Its extensive expertise in the state and federal analytical methods to address regulatory requirements has allowed Golden to grow into the largest air testing laboratory in the Houston area.

“This acquisition supports our strategy to find companies that align with our values and expand our laboratory offerings into new geographic markets,” said Steve Eckard, Executive Vice President of Enthalpy. “Golden is a great fit and they bring a talented team with expertise that will allow us to be more responsive to the needs of our Gulf Coast customers.”

Golden’s laboratory division was established in 2003 by air testing professionals capitalizing on the need for better analytical services to support Gulf Coast air testers and industrial facilities.
