Steven J. Eckard is Executive Vice President of Enthalpy Analytical, Inc. Mr. Eckard started his career testing smoke stacks. In that role, he was responsible for special projects that involved testing non-standard emission sources for a variety of organic pollutants. Several years of managing these unique projects exposed Mr. Eckard to a wide variety of testing and analysis circumstances. Mr. Eckard is considered an expert on sampling and analysis of organic pollutants from many different source and industry types. In 1993 he founded Enthalpy Analytical, Inc. Since 1993, Mr. Eckard has been managing environmental laboratories specializing in air pollution testing and tobacco smoke analysis. Mr. Eckard has also managed the quality systems for those labs. He is well versed in ISO 17025 and FDA Good Laboratory Practices based Quality Management Systems.
Bryan Tyler has focused his career on building, growing, and scaling businesses across multiple markets. He’s well-versed in both organic and inorganic growth and has brought this and his more than 15 years of laboratory experience to his role as Senior Vice President of Environmental Laboratories at Enthalpy Analytical, LLC, a division of Montrose Environmental Group.
In his current position, Tyler manages Enthalpy’s eight US-based air, soil, and water laboratories. This includes acquiring and integrating new labs while aligning existing labs so all are contributing to the overall mission of the Montrose Environmental Group.
Tyler has a bachelor’s degrees in both Chemistry and Animal Science, along with a master’s degree in Business Administration from North Carolina State University.
Cheryl Bowden is Vice President at Enthalpy Analytical. Cheryl spent over 10 years in leadership at Curtis & Tompkins Ltd., a laboratory based in Berkeley, CA, and now a part of the Enthalpy network. Cheryl earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, successfully merging business skills with scientific knowledge, further deepening her capabilities in laboratory management. Cheryl has experience in both performing and supervising analytical test and measurements in scientific laboratories. Additionally, she has a deep understanding of human resources and the personnel needs associated with managing and developing laboratory staff. Since joining Enthalpy, Cheryl has been a key contributor to our Human Resources, specifically in acquisition integrations, and currently oversees operations for our Virginia laboratories.
Peter Arth is an environmental scientist with a passion for applying an understanding of the intersection of toxicology, biology, ecology, and chemistry to understand, navigate, and solve complex environmental issues. Over the course of his career in environmental laboratory services and consulting, he’s held positions as analyst, project manager, and operations manager. He is currently the Director of Enthalpy Analytical’s Environmental Toxicology division where he oversees its technical, financial, and strategic success.
Peter has led laboratory-driven toxicological programs for commercial, industrial, governmental, and academic partners. He is well-versed in all aspects of performing and interpreting toxicity tests under guidelines published by a variety of regulatory agencies. His primary technical focus and expertise is the design, performance, and interpretation of site-specific toxicity investigations in freshwater, marine, and terrestrial environments. He has been engaged in Toxicity Identification Evaluations and other toxicity testing method development and adaptation, advocated for novel uses of bioassays as regulatory and risk assessment tools, and has presented his work at meetings and conferences across the country.
In all programs, Peter places a strong emphasis on effective collaboration, developing clear goals and objectives and attaining them cost efficiently, using sound experimental design, achieving unassailable data quality, and gaining client and regulatory approval.
Dennis Dorning is Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Enthalpy Analytical, Inc. Mr. Dorning brings 20 years of experience in the environmental laboratory industry from some of the largest environmental laboratory networks in the world, including TestAmerica and Eurofins. His laboratory experience, ranging from Laboratory Technician, Chemist, Project Manager, and Account Manager, brings not only a true understanding of laboratory processes to our clients, but also a hands-on approach to technical sales.
Brad brings over 25 years of experience in the environmental life sciences fields, including project engineering, project management, laboratory operations, business development and strategic leadership. Prior to joining our Enthalpy team as VP of Sales, he recently spent over 10 years of business development and sales leadership with ESC Lab Sciences/Pace Analytical. He has a proven track record of team development, strategic growth initiatives, development of best management practices, analytical chemistry, and regulatory requirements in the environmental testing market.
Mike Allen is Vice President, Technical at Enthalpy Analytical. Over the span of his 30-year career, Mike has spent time in various key leadership roles of the analytical laboratory business including new lab start up, operations management, method development validation and troubleshooting, business development, strategic planning, acquisition and integrations.
Prior to joining Enthalpy, Mike was owner of a consulting business advising Pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and Environmental laboratories. Before his consulting business, he was Director of Bioanalytical Science for Covance.
In his current role, Mike works as a bridge between sales and operations to understand customer needs and deliver optimized solutions, works closely with lab operations on process improvements and method troubleshooting, and provides technical guidance to achieve strategic objectives.
Mr. Hueppe has twenty years of laboratory management experience in operations, method development, quality systems and accreditation, bringing valued support and knowledge to Enthalpy’s lab network. Marcus is particularly adept to California air quality regulations and rules especially those governed by SCAQMD, BAAQMD, SDAPCD, SJVUAPCD and SMAQMD, as well as other agencies including ASTM, NCASI, CARB and the EPA. He has a Biomedical Engineering degree with an emphasis in Biochemical Engineering as well as an extensive and diverse expertise in Ambient Air Monitoring Programs, Source Emissions Testing, Industrial Hygiene, Vapor Intrusion and Remediation.
Teresa MorrisonRegional Quality Assurance Director
Teresa Morrison has over 30 years of experience in the environmental laboratory industry, with extensive background in laboratory management, project management, and quality assurance, as well as sample preparation and analysis. She has a proven ability to improve laboratory systems while effectively managing conflicting regulatory, quality, and operational requirements. In her current role as Regional QA Director, she provides managerial and technical training and support to the local QA Managers and other laboratory staff performing chemical and whole effluent toxicity testing under multiple State and Federal programs.
Valgena RespassRegional Quality Assurance Director
Leveraging 15 plus years as a Quality Manager, Valgena Respass is now the Regional Quality Assurance Director at Enthalpy Analytical. Her BS in Chemistry from Elizabeth City State University in NC and 20 plus years of experience in the Environmental Testing Industry includes extensive experience in overseeing laboratory staff and quality management. Valgena’s career started at the bench, performing chemical extractions of organic constituents from potable water, non-potable water and solid waste and analyzing these organic constituents using GC and GCMS instrumentation. In her current role, she continues to oversee and manage various laboratory quality management systems including TNI NELAP, DoD QSM, and ISO 17025 accredited systems.
Clint David has 15 years of experience in the laboratory business and is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. Clint has worked in numerous laboratory industry roles since graduating in 2007, including as Laboratory Manager, Technical Director of Chemistry, Technical Director of Microbiology, and Vice President of Operations. Since bringing Clint on as Laboratory Director in 2021, he has proven himself an exceptional team member and leader.
Jamie has over 25 years of experience in the environmental and analytical testing industry. He began his career working as a bench chemist in a dioxin testing laboratory and since has worked in pharmaceutical testing, data validation, chemistry consulting, and business development. For the past 2 years, he has been with Vista Analytical Laboratory in El Dorado Hills, CA and recently stepped in as Laboratory Director following the acquisition by Enthalpy Analytical. He has a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Mandy Mishra has spent the last 16+ years in the environmental laboratory business. During that time she has gained experience in analytical testing, procedural development and regulatory compliance. Mandy joined the current laboratory team in 2012 as a Quality Assurance Director and shortly after that took over the Laboratory Director position.
She provides concrete managerial expertise, analytical support and regulatory guidance to her immediate team and also serves as a technical and regulatory point of contact for a wide variety of clients and Accrediting Bodies, including but not limited to West Virginia, North Carolina, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania & Maryland. She is also responsible for development of the administrative infrastructure with continuous strategic planning, which includes business development, managing P&L and Quality Assurance of the laboratory.
She has Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Rochester Institute of Technology and Masters of Business Administration from Longwood University.
Cam Pham received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at California Polytechnic University and brings 35 years of industry experience. She has experience in on site management, business development, project management, account management, product management and as a bench and mobile lab Chemist. As a lab director she has leveraged this experience to grow a lab from a $3M to a $13M operation in just 7 years. She has proven herself to be a business and technical leader on federal, state and local drinking water compliance as well as EPA’s UCMR programs.
Kasey Raley is the Laboratory Director of Enthalpy Analytical’s Tobacco and Nicotine division. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Northern Colorado, Kasey Raley spent 18 years working in the Environmental Testing Industry focused on drinking water and wastewater aspects. She has worked hard over the past 18 years in numerous roles as a Laboratory Analyst, Senior Biologist, Microbiology Technical Manager, Senior Analytical Services Manager, Client Services Manager and Quality Manager, to become the industry expert she is today. Since joining Enthalpy, Kasey has been able to apply her knowledge and experience in laboratory testing to assume supervisory control of all operations and production aspects of the tobacco group.
Clint Thrasher is a laboratory director at Enthalpy Analytical. He has over 17 years of experience in the environmental services industry, specializing in the analysis of environmental samples. Clint has been employed with Enthalpy since 2005 and in that time has had four different job titles: FTIR/GC analyst, field testing team leader, staff engineer, and finally, laboratory director. He is extremely well-versed in all of Enthalpy’s laboratory processes. Outside of work, Clint is involved in the air and waste management association (AWMA) Gulf Coast.
Clint received a BA in chemistry and a BS in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University.
